There are few places in the UK that offer such superb photographic
opportunities as the coastline of North Northumberland, yet despite its
unsurpassed natural beauty it remains one of the least explored regions in
the UK.
Winter is an excellent time to photograph Northumberland - the days are
relatively short, but the weather and light can be stunning and the region
is very quiet.
Based in the picturesque village of Bamburgh, this workshop will cover such
memorable locations as Dunstanburgh Castle, Embleton Bay, Bamburgh Castle,
Alnmouth, Warkworth Castle, Alnwick Castle and the beautiful island of
Lindisfarne (Holy Island).
Photography will begin before dawn with visits to Bamburgh beach and
Embleton Bay and end after sunset each day. After a relaxed dinner in the
hotel's brasserie each evening we can look at images and talk about our
favourite subject photography!
Lee lives on this coastline and knows it like an old friend, so you can be
sure of being in the right place at the right time to make the most of the
light.
The images here will give you an idea of some of the locations being
covered.
