There are few places in the UK that offer such superb photographic
opportunities as the coastline of North Northumberland, yet despite
its unsurpassed natural beauty it remains one of the least explored
regions in the UK.
Late Winter is an excellent time to photograph Northumberland -
the days are relatively short, but the weather and light can be
stunning. The region is also very quiet so no need to worry about
pictures being ruined by tourists sporting bright red and yellow
walking jackets - at times you will feel like you have the place
to yourself.
Based in the picturesque village of Bamburgh, this workshop will
cover such memorable locations as Dunstanburgh Castle, Embleton
Bay, Bamburgh Castle, Alnmouth, Warkworth Castle, Seahouses harbour,
Alnwick Castle and the beautiful island of Lindisfarne (Holy Island).
Photography will begin before dawn with visits to Bamburgh beach
and Embleton Bay and end after sunset. After a relaxed dinner in
the hotel's cosy brasserie each evening we can look at slides and
talk about our favourite subject - photography!
Lee lives on this coastline and knows it like an old friend, so
you can be sure of being in the right place at the right time to
make the most of the light.
This workshop is a Photo Adventures favourite and always sells
out, so book today to be sure of securing a place.
