Workshop begins at 6.30pm on 9th February and ends after sunset on the 13th

Rooms are for single occupancy unless you are booking as a couple. Most rooms have en-suite facilities but a few do not. En-suite rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so the earlier you book, the better.

Cost excludes: Insurance and photographic materials.

The Western Highlands of Scotland is home to some of the most spectacular wilderness scenery left in the British Isles soaring peaks, mysterious moorland, bottomless lochs; at every turn there¹s another dramatic scene just begging to be photographed. The aim of this workshop is to explore Rannoch Moor, Glencoe and Glen Etive in the depth of winter. With any luck we will be greeted with extreme winter weather freezing temperatures, ice, snow, dramatic skies and maybe even some low winter sun. All can occur in the space of just a few hours! As a backdrop to this weather we will have an endless range of magnificent scenes to capture - the majestic, iconic peak of Buachaille Etive Mor from various locations, using mountain streams, waterfalls and other key features to fill the foreground of dramatic wide-angle landscapes, the Black Mount hills, Black Rock Cottage, mysterious Loch Ba¹ and peaceful Lochain na h¹Achlaise. There will also be trips up to Fort William to shoot the Ben Nevis range and Loch Eil at dawn or dusk, plus Glen Etive, Loch Linnhe and Glen Nevis. Our hotel is the King¹s House, warm and welcoming and perfectly situated high on Rannoch Moor so that within minutes we can be shooting amazing views some of which can be captured literally from the hotel carpark. The light and weather can be highly changeable during the long winter months, providing many exciting opportunities to take stunning photographs in a vast, awe-inspiring landscape

As always, Lee will show slides in the evenings, and you are encouraged to bring along examples of your own work to show to the rest of the group.
