Firmly rooted in Africa, yet less than four hours flying time from London, Morocco is exciting, exotic and enchanting. From bustling souks, crumbling kasbahs and biblical villages to snow-capped mountains, amazing sand seas and snake charmers, it has everything you could ever want and much more.

This 12-day trip takes in the best of Southern Morocco. Flying into the fabled ‘pink’ city of Marrakech, we will spend two days photographing its souks, gardens, palaces and people before crossing the Atlas mountains to the Glaoui Kasbah at Telouet and the magnificent kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s best example of a fortified village and a backdrop to numerous movies including Gladiator and Jesus of Nazareth.

After exploring the Dades Valley, Dades Gorge and Todra Gorge in 4x4 vehicles, we reach the oasis town of Tinerhir, before heading south to the Sahara, staying in an auberge on the edge of the dunes (they’re yards from the back door!) before trekking on camels into the dunes for two nights in the desert, staying in Berber camps and shooting the amazing sand dunes.

Once our desert escapade is over we travel to the towns of Agdz and Nkob, where we stay in a converted Kasbah, then on to Ouarzazate, home of the Taourirt Kasbah before crossing the High Atlas Mountains again to Marrakech.
